Free Bus Travel

l

School is back, now that your children are settled into school some  parents may not be aware that they might be eligible for something  FREE! – Bus travel.

Manilla has five local bus routes –

Maurice Stephenson has the Rangari Road bus route picking up and  dropping off children from West Manilla out as far as the exchange on  the Rangari Road then along Pillerine Lane back along the Corella Road  to Manilla.

Julie and Joel Duff have the Upper Manilla bus route, picking up and  Rock Dam turn off, meeting up with the Barraba School Bus and back to  Manilla.

Sharon  and Greg Howlett have the remaining three runs. Sharon mainly  drives the Halls Creek run picking up and dropping off children from  Glenwyck propert and traveling as far as Settlers Road, back along  Halls Creek Road, picking up town kids as well.

Son, Daniel usually drives the Rushes Creek bus picking  up and  dropping off children  along the Rushes Creek Road, traveling as far as  Bidford access road and onto Sherwood Road back to Manilla. Daniel also

goes up Tamworth Road to Somerton turnoff, back to Manilla.

Dave Howlett usually drives the Namoi River bus picking up and dropping  off children along the Namoi River Road traveling as far as Windfall  property.

As with most services it’s a case of use it or lose it.  It’s a good  idea if you do have a child that is eligible for one of these runs, to  register them even if they are not a regular user they can be still

registered. Subsides are also available from home to bus stop if some  distance is involved.

You can register your child by contacting any of the people mentioned –
