Gather one, gather all…for the 2022 Cancer Council’s AUSTRALIA’S BIGGEST MORNING TEA.
The Barraba Cancer Patients Fundraising Group Inc will again be hosting this nationwide event this Thursday 19 May from 9am. The venue is the Queen Street Mall, adjacent to the beautiful, newly painted mural, that everyone must see. Covid-19 will not deter the event this year, however certain Covid Safe riles will exist, with regards to social distancing and optional masks.
The local group are looking forward to hosting another enjoyable morning, and this year sees approximately the thirtieth time they have held the occasion. Delicious morning tea plates with tea or coffee, cales, slices, biscuits, sandwiches, and other stall items will be for sale on the trading table, along with the popular 100 club, and a Guessing Competition. All donations are welcome, whether on the stall table or otherwise. Live music will add to the fun and atmosphere of the day.
We welcome the support this year of the local high school organised by Ned Duaggn, who is volunteering his time and cooking skills to provide morning tea for the high school students and teachers at the school. Ned has kindly extended his support in volunteering for our local group and we thank him for his initiative and motivation.
The funds raised for the morning are in aid of The Cancer Council NSW. We invite the whole community to again support this extremely worthy cause, and the local Biggest Morning Tea in the Mall and at the high school. For those businesses who cannot attend, there will be ‘home delivered’ goodies throughout the township. Welcome one and all.
New members for our committee are also encouraged.
