Honour for Andrew Farriss

Barraba’s Andrew Farriss has been made a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to the performing arts as a musician, composer and producer.

Considered one of Australiaís greatest songwriters, Andrew is famous as a co-founder and main songwriter, keyboardist, guitarist and backing vocalist for the iconic band INXS.


Andrew has recorded 12 studio albums, 12 compilation albums, four live albums and 62 singles. He released the country music single, Come Midnight, in 2019.

Andrew was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia on Australia Day 2020. This was the same day he delighted crowds at an Australia Day concert at the Barraba Sportsground. He received his Member of the Order of Australia Medal on September 10, 2020, at a ceremony at Government House in Sydney.


Andrew Farriss has released ‘All The Stars Are Mine’; the first single from his forthcoming EP, Love Makes The World, out October 2, 2020.
