RANGARI ROAD UPDATE
Works are progressing on the Rangari road with several key steps being ticked off before the trucks come rolling in.
An environmental review and geotechnical investigation have been completed after the Professional Services Agreement between Tamworth Regional Council and Gunnedah Shire Council was established.
The detailed survey has beem completed on both Local Government areas by Bath Stewart Surveyors in Tamworth and Stewart Surveyors in Gunnedah.
The survey work will be provided to Tamworth Regional Council in order to commence the detail design on behalf of both councils.
The current timeline for this work is an expected completion by the end of financial year.
Once a detail design is done, councils will commence with drainage works on the road which will extend culverts to accommodate the proposed new formation.
Following the drainage works, a staged progression in pavement works will commence will anticipated completion expected in September 2022.
Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson said the update was good news for the people of the electorate.
“Updates like this are always great because they keep the community informed of the progression of works.
“Without these updates, members of the community may feel left out of the conversation, particularly when the upgrades affect them daily.
“Rangari Road was an election commitment of mine so I’m happy have these regular progression updates so I can let the community know.”
“I will continue to provide the community with information as soon as it comes to me.”
