Fifteen show societies in northern and north-west New South Wales will receive a pallet of goods just in time for Christmas thanks to the RAS Foundation (RASF) in collaboration with Good 360 and the Agricultural Societies Council of NSW Ltd (ASC).
Special thanks goes to Namoi Logistics from Wee Waa for their generous support in transporting the goods and their assistance with all collection and storage.
Providing much-needed goods to showgrounds and community halls along with a touch of Christmas joy for local communities, each pallet is
piled high with a variety of goods, including Lego, children’s books and toys, cleaning products and kitchen goods with a total value of $120,000.
The RASF and Good 360 first connected in 2018 and have since provided over $1.6 million worth of goods to regional communities in New South Wales.
“To partner with Good 360 once again and work alongside the ASC and Namoi Bulk Storage to deliver Christmas joy to regional communities in northern and north-west NSW is tremendous,” said RASF Manager Cecilia Logan.
“After such a challenging year, particularly for our regional communities who have battled mouse plagues, covid lockdowns, the lingering effects of drought and bushfires and now flooding, a small gesture can go a long way.
These pallets are our way of helping to lift community spirits and bring a smile to some faces over this Christmas period.”
Manilla is one of the lucky recipients with the Manilla Show Society set to distribute the donated toys, books and Lego via Neville’s Santa Run.
Jim Maxwell of the Manilla Sow Show Society thanks the RASF and Good360 for their generosity and says the products and gifts will bring great joy to the community.
