Visit Barraba Beef and you will see racks of beautiful bronze coloured hams hanging from the rack.
Butcher Ben Freeman is a dab hand with the smoker, and at this time of year increases production on his first-rate hams.
Using pork grown by Horton Valley Premium Pork, Ben flavours the meat with ironbark smoke from local timber. This all takes place in a smokehouse on the premises. A full ham will set you back about $80, with half hams also available.
